About

The Full Story

Acres of Hope is conveniently located in the Piedmont Triad area. Our farm is part of an original homestead in Randolph County and it is a a gentle place for support and counseling. The simple farm provides a serene setting for clients dealing with depression, anxiety, or suffering from the effects of trauma. Acres of Hope also provides other clinicians the facilities to work with their clients using equine assisted therapeutic services.

Acres of Hope offers three different options for clients in need: traditional talk therapy with our contracted therapist, non-riding equine assisted counseling, and applied behavior analysis with our contracted behavior specialist.

Our Equine Specialists have been trained through Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA™). Our therapist and behavior specialist on staff have been trained through DePaul University and National Louis University; both out of Chicago, IL.

Acres of Hope can also provide EAGALA™ trained staff  to support other therapists as they provide services for their clients.

Acres of Hope oftentimes becomes the location of choice for small groups wanting to work on communication, professional development and team building.  We have hosted county groups, education leadership and church camps, all working with our healing herd.
